Community Partners

We are often asked about our involvement in the community. For example, we might hear, "What does Lighthouse Christian Center do for underprivileged children?" or, "How is Lighthouse Christian Center involved in caring for the homeless?"

THESE ARE GOOD QUESTIONS.
Several years ago we made a decision not to replicate ministries that are already doing an excellent job meeting specific needs in our community. Instead, we have chosen to funnel human and financial resources into a handful of organizations that are doing a far better job within their spheres of influence than we could ever do. To the right you will find our current list of what we refer to as Compassion Ministries.

We partner with the organizations at the bottom of this page. By clicking on a name you will be taken directly to the ministry's website. You can also email or call their volunteer coordinator. If you find an organization that is addressing a need that captures your heart, please contact them directly to find out about the opportunities for personal ministry. And don't forget to consider how your entire growth group can get involved.
