Storehouse Ministries

Storehouse Ministry at Lighthouse provides groceries to families in need on the third Saturday of each month. We recognize that Jesus cared about people’s food needs, which was seen when he miraculously multiplied a young boy’s lunch and used it to feed thousands of people who had been listening to him preach.  Our mission is to help meet people’s basic needs and in doing so, show them the love of Jesus through our words, actions, and service.

There are a variety of ways to get involved in Storehouse.  The success of this ministry depends on many hands on the third Saturday to assist filling boxes and even carrying boxes filled with food to people’s cars. We depend on volunteers to help set-up for the event each month and to help with clean-up as well.

"For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.' "Then the righteous will answer him, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?' "The King will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.'
